Switchboard Manufacturing
Custom LV switchboards type-tested to AS/NZS 61439.
We design and build low-voltage switchboards in-house at our Australian facility — main switchboards, sub-distribution, motor control centres, and bespoke assemblies. Every board is built around a verified AS/NZS 61439 type-tested design and finished with a witness FAT before it leaves the floor.

Engineered, not configured
Every BASE switchboard starts with a single-line review by a licensed engineer. We don't drop your scope into a generic configurator — we size busbars to your fault level, coordinate protection across the network, and lay out cubicles so every termination is reachable for maintenance. That up-front engineering is why our boards commission first time and stay in service for decades.

Built around verified type tests
AS/NZS 61439 compliance only counts if it's traceable. Our designs reference original-manufacturer type-test reports from ABB, Schneider, NHP and Siemens — busbar bracing, temperature rise, dielectric, short-circuit and IP all referenced back to a physical test. The verification pack ships with every board.

FAT before it leaves the door
Every assembly goes through a documented Factory Acceptance Test: visual, dielectric, continuity, functional, and torque verification with photographic evidence. Client-witnessed FATs are standard for any board above 1,000 A. You see what you're paying for before it lands on site.

Yes. Every BASE switchboard is built to AS/NZS 61439.1 (general rules) and the relevant Part 2–6, with a complete verification dossier referencing original-manufacturer type tests. We supply the verification report on request before order.
A standard 2,500–4,000 A MSB lands in 10–14 weeks from approved drawings, depending on long-lead components like withdrawable ACBs. Sub-distribution boards and smaller MCCs typically run 6–8 weeks. We confirm a binding program at design freeze.
Absolutely. We work to TfNSW, Sydney Water, Yarra Valley Water, BHP, Rio Tinto and major-tier-1 contractor specifications regularly, and we'll redline any clauses that conflict with AS/NZS 61439 before manufacture begins.
Yes — a documented FAT is included on every board. Client-witnessed FATs (in-person or by live video) are standard for any board above 1,000 A and available on smaller boards on request.
